Default JDM Accord H23 VTEC?

I was wondering what the specs are for this motor. I have seen a few places selling this motor for about $200 more than a regurar JDM H22. I was wondering if it would be worth the $200 for the H23 VTEC or not?

Someone correct me if I"m wrong here but I thought the H22 was VTEC and the H23 was non VTEC unless you use an H23 block and an H22 VTEC head..

I learned this the hard way.

There was a couple of threads a while back on it. Try using different words for the search. ( i know it can be difficult now with the 3 letter words disabled )

correction, 1999 and 2000 were the years they made this motor. and yes, same specs as h22a, but with ~10 more lbs/ft torque.

It is a vtec but unlike the H22 it is not a DOHC motor. It is a 2.3 vtec SOHC.

Let me add to my previous statement. If in fact it is a 2.3 vtec is is an F series motor. Or it is an H23 block with a vtec head from an H22.

WHOA!!!
the H23A DOHC VTEC that came out of the 99-00 jdm Accord Wagon SiR was just that, dual overhead camshaft.
you could get either a FWD or dual-pump real time 4WD. All 6th gen wagons were mated to a sport shift automatic transmission, just like in the 5th gen ludes.
This motor was introduced to the market on january 21,1999. and was taken off in 2000.
Now, they did have f23 wagon models, they were the Wagon VTL, Wagon VTL 4WD,
Wagon Vi, and Wagon Vi 4WD.

Just a little info for everyone on this motor.
