what is the best aftermarket exhaust with the least amount of sound? i had thermal, and it got to loud for me. i just got some cheap stock type muffler, and ran 2 1/4 pipe all the way, and i love the no exhaust sound thing, but i'm going to go boost soon, and i need something in 3". any ideas?

 

sounds a bit odd for an import but i ran 2 1/4 w/ a dynomax muffler on my prelude,'87, and it was quiet w/ a deep tone. Then again i had 2 carbs but i had mad head work etc.. I've also heard that a flowmaster muffler sounds good but never heard one in person.

I think the only way to get no sounds but "better than stock" muffler is to steal and stock muffler off a newer integ. GS-R or something and make it work on your car.

look into twin pass exhaust designs. High flow and close to stock noise level.
