Those are pics of my back left and right tire i got on the way to shool after christsmas break. I had 2 duffel bags and stuff in my backseat that was kinda heavy. my car is lowered 1 inch and i have pirelli p7000 supersports on 18inch axis sevens. The 2 front tires were perfectly fine and still had like 60 percent tread on them. I have no idea why just the back ones did it! Is it the weight in the trunk and backseat?
Does anyone have any idea why this would have done this. A couple of people have said that I need a 4-wheel alignment. I had one done during the summer before school started. (maybe they did a shitty job?)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yup looks like they were over inflated. Did u get an alignment after you lowered it?? It looks like you have slight negative camber (normal for a 1 inch drop) and maybe your toe was way off. I'd def go get an alignment when you get new tires.
Nothing looks seriously wrong with that tire wear, other than they were/are on the car about 3000+ miles too many!! You may need a minor alignment. And that wear pattern is showing like others said HIGH air pressure.
yup, looks like pressure was a bit too high. Did only the back tires wear out? did you say the front ones were fine? Did you ever rotate them?? Wierd that your back would wear faster than your front. You might have some bad toe in/out in the rear causing them to wear faster than front.
Definately a overinflation problem....and probably tow end not set right. That'll eat your tires faster than a fat lady in a candy store. I had to slightly modify my tow arm to be able to get it aligned correctly....but then again I'm runnin' Eibach Sportlines 1.5+ drop.

Yeah it was weird, just the back ones did that. I had them rotated about 4 thousand miles before this happened.
How do you fix the toe. Is that what a canber kit does? I thought I really don't need one on a 1 inch drop.

Actually, if it's just the one spot on each of your rear tires that is worn like that, I'd say it was caused by 2 things: 1.) overinflation caused the center of the tires to wear faster ALL THE WAY AROUND. 2.) That single wear spot was caused by either locking up the rear and sliding, or driving with your e-brake on. That's the only way to have just one spot on the rear tires be worn that much more than the rest...unless I'm missing something

Bingo and I ditto that.

thanks alot everyone. I am going to get a 4-wheel alignment today. What do you think i should have the tire pressure at? I got 4 new tires and I think the pressure at 40 right now, should i lower it to maybe 35?
thanks again
thanks again
I think the recommended inflation pressure is like 32 psi. Try that. It also looks like a little excessive wear to the inside, so I'd try to get the toe zeroed...
