I was driving down this road going around 40-45mph (speed limit 35), when this grandpa on the opposite lane decided to cut me off at the last second! I turned to the right on instinct to avoid impact but it was too late. The bumper, hood, fender, and winshield are pretty f*cked up. I think the car is totalled, i couldnt' even get out of my door, i had to get out of the passenger's. Luckly, i had two witnesses behind me (friends from my school) that saw everything. I don't think it's my fault, but i'm getting guilty feelings about it. I just got this car too about 2-3 weeks ago. The officer that was questioning me was a real jerk too. He said they had witnesses saying i was going waaay too fast (by the way i didn't see any of their witnesses). I had 3 witnesses that saw everything that happend! He said yea, it's high school kids like you that are always in accidents. Then he says i mean not like you, but your age group.Then he's like take that up to the Track not around here. He thinks i was ******* racing!? You gotta be joking me! WTF, is that suppose to mean!? My mom got pissed when he said that, and told him "well if the guy knew i was going to fast then why did he cut infront of him(me)." The officer didn't say anything after that. I think they need to give high school kids a little more respect then they do. He said "i'm going to say both of you were at fault." I think that's f*cked up! I shouldn't get blamed for it, i was going with traffic anyways, and this old ****** thinks he can travel the speed of light and cuts infront of me! So he decided not to give us tickets. We'll that's my story. I'm just glad that i'm still alive. We're going to take a look at the car tomorrow at the tow place. What do you guys think i should do? Rebuild it? Or just buy a new car? The engine had 120,000 miles. Not sure if it's totalled yet. SO SAD. THIS IS THE WORST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!! By the way I just got back from the hospital too, i just have bruises on my face and arm.. and my neck is hella sore.

the sucks... My stepdad had a similar accident and he was at fault... good thing your are ok nothing major from what you said.

 

You should have let the grandpa cut you off and hit you, it would have been his fault w/o a doubt, then sue his ***.

**** a 93? damn. find out exactly how much it will cost to get it back to its orginal condition. get estimates from different places.

BTW: it's not the worst day of ur life (u only think it is) just go with it. my friend had it worse and he's doing pretty good.

judging by what I hear, I'm pretty sure ur car is totalled. Just get the insurance money, and by a new 93 vtec!

That sux man. But yeah, it will not be the worst day of your life. I thought when I had my accident in my 96 Accord it was the worst day of my life. Two weeks later...I got myself a new BMW 325ci.

Cheer up. See how much it will be to buy the car back. Maybe you can part it out for more and make some money off of it.

I wouldn't worry too much, you'll get quite a bit of cash for that bad boy, i got 4900 for a damn '92 lude SI with 161000 miles on it, and that's after my fault, but then i had a 92' Lude S 133 k, P.O.S. and some stupid black girl without a license hit me, now i have a 95' LUDE SE, badass ride, , i'm only 16 man, can't get much worse than that, you'll be aight

I'm going all out on my next car.... I wanna get a '95 or '96 vtec prelude. Paint like electron blue or some pimpin' orange color so that all the Grandpa's & grandma's out there can see me coming a mile away! Nah, as of now the insurance place owns it. I'm not selling anything from the car.. but i ordered a cold air intake the day before the accident so i'm selling it now.. if anyone wants it?

To make a long story, short, I was driving from the mall to go home, and this lady in an Expedition in front of me went out into the intersection, but I wasn't really paying attention to her, cause I saw enough space for her and I to go, so I figured she had already gone out there, (which she did) but she suddenly stop, and I put it into 1st gear, but by the time I look back toward her, I was gasing it and ran right into the back of her. I was probably going 6-7mph but hit the brakes too late. It fucked the whole front end up (bumper, both headlights, driverside fender) somehow the passangerside fender is still good. Air bags came out and the front frame part was bent downward.
