MPFI swap fuel injector question
i have a d16y8 intake manifold that im going to swap into my STD hatch. do i need the wiring harness for the fuel injectors, do i use my old fuel injector harness or do i just send wires straight to the injectors. also will i have to modify or switch out any sensors or do the plugs from the sensors plug right up to my civics wiring.
i have done a search on this, but i havent found anything on the d16y8 manifold.
once i get everything straightened out and installed im gonna make an online guide, with pictures for this swap! thanks for the help
heres some pictures of what im talking about:
the d16y8 intake manifold
the plugs for the fuel injectors, i dunno how to connect them?
the back of the manifold with the tps and another sensor?(im new to this swap thing!

youll have to do an mpfi swap like with the d16a6 manifold.
the other sensor on the back of your manifold is the iacv. your map sensor is missing though...but i dont think youll need it.....you can run vacuum to the origional i think. i got around this by using a B18A TB on my Y8 manifold.

thanks for the info , but do i need the harness to plug into my fuel injectors or is there a way to wire em directly?
If those are the injectors that came with the mani, i'm not sure you can use them. You might have to use the older style injectors w/ a resistor box.

Those are Y8 injectors correct?? If thats the case you run each wire from the ECU to each injector like other MPFI swaps. The yellow/black wire that goes to the injector resistor box just split 4 ways and add to each injector. Seeing it is OBDII you will need the injector plugs for them from the engine harness. Also you need a IAT sensor in the intake piping. Also block off that hole for the map or get one and extend you wires to it. Good job on getting the M/T mani saved you alot of work
