i just helped my friend install some ground controls coil overs with eibach sportline springs on his 2002 civiic Si!!
everything went well with one exception the right axel fell out of socket so we had to bang it back it.... the car doesnt grind or make any noise that has to do with the axel but it makes a pinging noise kinda like everytime he turns the wheel but it doesnt make that noise when the car is going striaght... so what could it possibly be!!!!! please help
my guess is the top metal cover that sits on top of the coil its sliding around and making the spring, spring outward making that pinging noise!!!! please help!

Did you grease up the top hat with grease? If not, i would go do that right now. When the spring is loaded on the EP3 or RSX and you turn the steering wheel, the springs wants to turn in it's seat. If the top hat is not greased up, you'll hear that noise. Good luck. late
PS: Ground Controls come with Eibach racing springs, not sportlines.

You didnt grease it right then, spray grease works the best , u can spray it everywhere on top.
Mine use to do it until I greased it , greased it up well.
So to answer your Q Havokgsr , just grease it up.

Just go out and buy some White Lithium Grease. Take the top hat off the car, put on a "fair" amount of this grease and you'll be good to go. Liquid grease works, but it wears away quickly. Late
