Any good autox stories from this weekend?
we had a good event in denver on sunday...~175 cars. the course was about 60 seconds long. this amazingly cool go kart thing fvcking smoked the course in about 44 seconds.
ridiculous!
i got 4th in GS out of 18 cars i think...i was happy with that. in SS, steve c did very well in his m-coupe again but cheated by using a co-driver to keep his tires warm. on behalf of the other drivers in SS, i will be registering a protest against mr. cole this week.
there were some cool a$$ cars this time including a couple of S2ks, 2 m-coupes, a couple of Z06's (which, as i just learned, have those little holes in the side), and this bad a$$ '84 pontiac sunbird in HS that nearly tied my time (SWEET sounding 50 HP engine and a very plush foam and plastic interior.)
now let's hear your fun stories too.

Had alot of fun my first time at the Firestone lot in Akron, thanks to TegSport and crew for making us pittsburghers feel at home! It POURED during my 5 runs, which was kinda fun, there was alot of drifting and skidding going on. I managed to take 2nd in a pretty full CSP class, and i'm STILL on my frickin stock tires (one week till track time, that'll show those stock tires), took a ton of pics which will be up on our site when i get a chance to code them all in. A teaser:
very nice mr. lanky guy.
what mods do you have to land in CSP? i would not want to run in CSP, at least not around here...those d00ds have gotten FTD on several occasions.
how many cars did you have in CSP?....overall?

I ran at the Event at Coors field, it was my 1st autocross ever, I got 11th place in G Stock. I improved about 4 seconds on my last run compared to my 1st. That was a lot of fun, I will definately be going to all the Autocrosses in Colorado from now on.

I think we had about 120 cars, but the weather was totally a mess. It was dry, then wet, then less wet, then wetter, then dry. What a goofball day.
I got 3rd in GS (that's my yellow one in the pic above)

Yea, Aleph and myself got kinda screwed by the weather. I got one dry run in, then the rains came and the other 4 were all wet, one in fact, was a pretty torrential down pour. It was still a blast though, the Firestone lot is real grippy even when its wet out.
I ran in the "X" class so I could run out of class and take some video and pics of the other GS guys and gals. I should have them up on our SCCA site soon and I'll post a link. Nothing spectacular since it was pretty cloudy and the pics are a bit dark. I do hope to have some of the video posted as well. I got some good footage of myself, Aleph, xMetal, and Astro (GS-R).
All in all it was good time, and there were plenty of Integras in action.
From memory:
Aleph - 2nd CSP, Integra Type R
xMetal - 3rd GS, Integra Type R
Astro - ??? GS, Integra GS-R
Dan - 1st STS, Integra GS-R
John - 2nd STS, Integra GS-R
Me - 1st X Class
, Integra Type R
We also had another R owner from Pittsburgh come out to watch and I set him up for a few rides with Astro in his GS-R. Sounds like he had a good time, and is ready to race his R in a few weeks

Ha warm tires were the smallest of my cheating infractions. Fun course but I almost passed out from working heat two (the longest heat in the history of auto-x because of that damn oil spewing RX7) and running in heat 4.
[edit]mark: great job on your first time. see you at the next one.
