Default Pager alarms

Has anyone bought these off ebay for around 100-200.00? Are they any good? Actually work? Worth it? Just give me any feedback or opinions. Here is a link of the alarm i'm thinking of getting: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...14934

Thanks.

well i have a friend in the alarm business ...and he says that those pager alarms suck!!!! The simple reason being that the reception to the pager is not that great and also he used to have one.....And it went off when he was in teh mall he said and by the time he got outside the thieves..or whatever hit his car was gone....
well thats my input .. but get what you want.... good luck

I've never heard of the one you mentioned, but I have a DEI 795W. I was just testing it today. First I parked my car on the first floor in a parking structure, and walked around 100 yards away. The pager didn't go off. I then tested my pager at the same distance, but the the car parked on the top of the parking structure and the alarm did go off. If you are looking to get an add on pager, get the DEI since it is a name brand. I personally wouldn't buy a product unless I've heard good things about them. Your range will depend heavily on where you park your car. Whatever range the manufacturer claims is under optimal circumstances, like if you are in the Boniville flats with no interference between you and your car.

i think they are nice.. plus it usually comes with the starter and all.. i say it sbetter to kno your car is getting jack so you can notify the police.. then just not knowing at all.. plus you gotta compensate for the area also.. fo rhte distance.. of it working...ive installed 2 of these and works liek a charm...plus mine has an option to turn the car off with the remote itself.. if it was getting jacked...i mean you get a pager, starter, starter kill, and many other function
