Default Tein S.Tech reliability?

I had thought about getting Tein S.Tech springs for my '89 rex, but I'm worried about the only 1 year warranty. I'd also thought about Tein's standardizeds springs. A friend of mine who's and SCCA club rally driver told me to go with Ground Control but I don't really have the money. (I'm about to buy a $2400 trumpet for orchestra play.) Anyone have any suggestions or comments?
