What kind of gearing would you go with...

Default What kind of gearing would you go with...

on a 450HP H23 that revs to 8,000 or so.

Here are all the options I'm considering - (I don't think there is any other possibility)

- F22 transmission

- H23 transmission

- H22 transmission

- H22 transmission with F22 final drive (4.07)

- H23 transmission with F22 final drive (4.07)

- F22 transmission with H22/H23 final drive (4.27)

if you are going to rev the motor to 8000 then i would assume the h22 tranny would be best to keep you up in the full boost area. i dunno much about turbos and stuff though but if the car is at full boost were the h23 tranny falls at then i would just stick with that and save some money.

h22a tranny without a doubt

f22 trannies dont like to rev that high at all

how certain are you you swap those final drives? i always heard it wasnt possible

I know that you can get the accord type R final drive for H22 tranny.
