I just recently got my 2001 PY ITR, and I'm debating whether or not to take it to college (UT Austin). The reason I don't know is just because I don't want it to get trashed...dings, etc. I have the option of taking my ITR, an 85 Honda Accord, or nothing. What do you think? TIA!

 

Dont even think about taken your ITR to any campus sitting outside!
I know college kid who got stereotyped with attitude and his PY ITR was
trashed few times! Be patiences and drive the accord. The benefit is your ITR will be your vacations car with less miles!

(that didn't sound right - we'd be happy to show you around even if you don't bring your R, it just wouldn't be as much fun... )

 

im going to west virginia university this fall and instead of parking it on campus park it off in a storage place. thats what im doing its a little expensive ($70/month) but worth knowing my car will be safe.

 

If you have the option of leaving it home and it will be garaged, I would definitely take that route. We all know what types of things happen on college campuses, and they may happen around your R...whether planned or not.
