I know this isnt a honda but figured I would ask here .. I seem to get more help out of this website than any place else.. My fiance' has a 1992 Corsica.. Its the 3.1 FI V6 .. The car runs fine for a little while then it starts to cut off .. Violent jerking.. Then the car turns off ... The only way to get it to start back up is in neutrel and still you better hit the gas b4 it cuts off. Someone said that it could be the fuel pump and filter .. So I changed it .. Still no luck.. !@# Also when you start in reverse you a clunk .. Sometimes you will also here it until you get past 30 mph. Any ideas would be helpful .. Also someone said it could be a torque converter locking up .. heh help plz

 

check your EGR system, EGR valve, PCV, etc. that same **** happned to me on my last car.

take it to autozone and have them run a free diagnostic on it. I worked there while I was in College, and we did that kind of thing all the time. They have all sorts of equipment to do it with, dont let them tell you otherwise.

 

I just did a search on the Egr and It does sound like that.. Now all I need to do is find out if I can just take and pull the fuse for the sensor
