Default SHould i buy this? Need opinions

- complete b18a short block with pr3 pistons, shot peened ls rods, new bearings, oil pan gasket, rings all oem parts. Driven for only 4 months w/ 5500km on it. Head bolt threads are stripped but repairable at a machine shop $600obo will throw in 1991 ls head for $650 complete (nice long block with high compression)

- b18b short block minus rods and pistons (has cracked sleeve but crank, oil pump etc.... is all there) make an offer.

CDN FUNDS

I have a few questions:

1) If its just the head stud stripped? is there a possibility of other damage?
2) What kind of compression and whp can i get with this block and a vtec head?
3) What kind of questions should i ask him> machining work done.. etc?

I NEED OPINIONS! NOT SELLING OK?

i would get the itr cams/jun gears. nothing else. never touch an engine with **** like stripped head stud threads, thats just crazy. that means whoever built it didn't know what the **** they were doing. the complete 97 P72 head would be nice to have, but he wants waay too much for it. who the hell cares about a TB and IM being grinded on? but offer the guy $450 for the cams/gears. thats all of my .02

i wouldnt buy any of those...GSR head is too pricey so are the cams. If you have to rethread the block then you have to go bigger bolts and thats a no-no. You can easily get a cheap block for $150 and get new parts too and still come out about the same without even worrying about the screwed thread. My 02
