honda dealers never did body work in the first place. and they dont send crap out, the insurance does.
when a car is covered by a insurance company, and it gets damage, they send it out to a branch body shop that the insurance company is involved.
my dad works for M2 collision center, and all the cars they fix are coming in through insurance companys.
if you have insurance, they will take care of it, tell you to go to a body shop they have, and they will get all the crap done right.
if you dont, and dont go that route. find a body shop that will accept your car, many dont. some insurance policy crap.
but if you do, go check out the office, and look at a wall full of awards, and check them out. most shops have many awards, for being the best in service, painting, best body repair award, etc.
dont worry about the little questions, you're gettin too worried.
it doesnt seem like you know what color matching means.
they dont take a sample of your car's paint to get the paint to match. Each car have a paint code, its on the side of the driver side door. Each automotive paint company has a database of codes, all they do is type that in, and get the right paint for the car.
Color matching is trying to get the new paint match up to the old paint, that is through water sanding, and buffing. its the last step of the car.
blah i know too much, i should go get some gay degree on automotive repair.
peace. sleep time.
