wrong spark plugs in, now car won't start!!
stupid people.
man, anyways to my problem. I have a JDM h22a in my 92 lude SI. I went to buy some spark plugs and told them specifically to give me spark plugs for a 93 prelude VTEC(knowing preludes came with VTEC starting in 93). Anyways, I didn't really pay attention to the plugs they gave me. I just put them in with my new cap and rotor. The car ran fine for about 1 week but then didn't want to start. I pull the plugs yesterday and find out that they gave me freakin h23a1 plugs! Man, now I think my distributor is shot or something else is shot. Anyways, I pulled the plugs and put my old ones back in. Still doesn't start. Does anybody have any experience with this or any ideas what could be wrong??

is the gap on the plugs right?
i suppose it's possible that you've fried something in your ignition system if the plugs have a different resistance or something like that, but i would guess you have some other problem that doesn't have anything to do with you plugs.

check your ground on your valve cover thats why its not startting. hope i helped cuz i had the same problem on my gfs car. felt like a dumb *** whenever i found out it was one mothaF$%% wire.
let me know if it still continues to do it.

thanks for the replys...I'll check all my grounds tomorrow. well the plugs they gave me are NGK ZFR6F-11 for the h23a1 motor. The ones I need for my JDM h22a motor are NGK PZFR6-11. Man, I hope I didn't fry the ignitor or something else.
if i remember correctly, the plugs are pretty similar, in fact they should both work, id look at some other possibilities, they wouldnt have fried anything, the worst they would have done is been improperly gapped causing hesistation, but they wouldnt mess anything up, theyre only sparking the signal they recieve they dont send anything back to the distributor or anything

ive seen worn plugs blow the the ignition control module on an integra (stressed the ignition system). but i dont think running h23 plugs would put that much stress on your ignition system
Hi there...
the NGK ZFR6F-11 are for non-Vtec engines, but you could use them also for VTEC engines i guess, without blowing your engine off!
But the NGK PZFR6F-11 are absolutely recommended for VTEC engines, i guess there is a reason...!?
By the way...the P in front of ZFR6F is the type of the spark plugs ---> PLATIN surface...

I've stopped going to the local parts stores myself... They've given me the wrong part far too many times (and they are expensive!). I've gotten the wrong plugs in the right boxes a few times (some moron at the store probably swapped them).
I've started buying my stuff online. http://www.PartsPalace.com usually has what I need parts wise at low prices.
