Well my lugs are the ones that use a 1.5cm alan key to screw them on. Then you need a pipe for leverage. Anyway... all my lugs are tight and all. But if one maybe is a bit less tight than the others will that effect how the wheels turn? Because at around 100km/h I have to steer more than I did with stock wheels.
As long as they're all torqued down correctly you shouldn't have any problems. I made the mistake one day of not torquing down all of the lugs enough and it was very apparent.
Your problem is most likely a wheel/tire imbalance. Try throwing the front driver-side on the rear passenger side and see how that works. If that doesn't then try putting the front passenger on the rear passenger side, the rear passenger on the driver passenger and the others somewhere else.
You're probably better off getting a balance done first, though.

That's sounds too tight. But anyway, have you had your wheels balanced lately?
EDIT: Could be tire pressure. Make sure it's even all around.

What do you mean?? Is the steering wheel shaking, or does it take more steering effort to maneuver? Or something else?
And what kind of wheels did you put on?

Do that. You will see that 80ft/lbs. does not require breaker bar bending effort, your lugs may be way over torqued.

well the pole was a copper one so it wasnt like I was bendng an lead pipe. It was a ton harder to loosen the old lugs than it was to tighten the new ones on.
