I've had some ricey SOHC VTEC on my car for a couple years now, and I've wanted to take them off, but I'm afraid you'll be able to see a shadow where the paint has faded around the vinyl. It's pretty thin vinyl and it's on the sides. Think I should be ok?

Its super easy. use a heat gun/hotwater or a blow dryer and heat the vinal, take it off. You might have slight fading and thats easy to fix as well. Turtle wax makes a RUBBING COMPOUND, heavy duty cleaner. It comes in a small plastic jat and is cheap. I use it on my entire paint once a year and it super cleans the paint. If your afraid of scratching the paint, get the green jar, not the red jar. It works REALLY well. I can post pics of my car, its always shinny as could be.

 

thanks for the hairdryer tip. it's on the side, so i guess the fading wont be so bad

 

should of thought about that when you were putting them on
