Default 95 V6 heating problem

my sister came into my room yesterday and told me her car didn't wanna spit out any heat.. she said the car was at regular temperature and just cold air was spitting out.. i'm thinking it could be the heater coil... any suggestions as to what to look at?

man there is no heater coil. heat is supplied from the engine coolant via hoses to a "heater core"(small rad)and a blower fan blows through it and into the cabin.while the car is running check to see if the thermostat is stuck open. when the car is warming up the upper rad hos should be hot bottom hose cold. when the car is warm both hoses should be hot. if not change the thermostat and gasket.if its working right check the 2 heater hoses going into the heater core.(the 2 hoses at the firewall,they should both be warm.if not you have a blockage or a air lock.good luck.

if it is NOT leaking any coolant I would check to make sure that the valve that allows engine coolant to flow into the heater core is working

]

Item 10 attaches to a valve that allows heat to flow

sorry I could not find a pix of the valve
