If you're going to turbo it dont waste your time with a ITR motor.
I'm sure theres better ways to spend $11000. Like... shocks, tires and track schools.

that sounds like a bit much still...but then again, you're paying for a shop to do it.
you'd be better off selling the ITR motor and using the extra cash from that to drop in a B18C or the like. Resleeve and bore to 2.0l, etc...

If you wnat a low 12 second car (or anything thats going to be really quick in a straight line) you're starting with the wrong platform and engine. Sorry, but this just wasnt what the ITR was built for.
So you spend $15K (canadian) on your engine - and then what? You make your 12 second passes and...... ???? There's just no reward in it for me. There's no way that a ITR making low 12 second passes is going to be 100K daily driver reliable.
1st Gen Eclipse GSX + $2500 in Mods = Mid 12 second passes

^^^Thats why.
Not to say it cant be done because it certainly can be done, however you are using the wrong car IMHO. You can probably spend 11,000 CDN, make it a crazy all motor setup, and still break into 12s. And no Im not just another anti-drag racing ITR owner, I just dont think you are going about it the right way.

So which is it?
You're still starting with the wrong platform for a 'go fast in a straight line' setup. Now if you're dead set on it, thats fine too if you think it is worth your time and your money.
There's just better ways to go about this however. Keep whatever honda you have as a daily driver, and pick up a car better suited for this purpose with your budget. A 1st gen eclipse GSX in excellent shape can be had for about $4000, add $2500 in mods and you have a mid 12 second car for half the price of what you planned on dumping into a ITR motor.
Besides, once you collect a few 12 second timeslips then what do you do? Say "wow that was cool" and sit back and frame the slips and thats it? Kind of boring to keep going back to the strip to run the same times over and over.
Cheap. Fast. Reliable.
Pick two. You cant have all 3.

Seems to me he has an NA ITR, and he also has a 96 hatch he wants to go turbo with.
Using an ITR engine for a turbo build up in a civic is a waste of money, unless you have one sitting around.

Maybe you should re-evaluate your long term goals/priorities and dont do anything until you figure out what it is you really want to do.
I would sell the ITR, and your motor and buy an STi. Turbo, Fast and Reliable.

In this thread you have said you have:
- ITR
- B18C5 Laying around
- 96 Hatch
- $15-$20K to spend on the motor (which is $10-$13K US)
But you also say
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Sparco_TypeR »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">yea but i dont have that kind of moeny</TD></TR></TABLE>
If you are not out of highschool yet finish that first. Your education is the most imp ortant thing. Also, plan to budget as much on your suspension, brakes and tires as you spend on your motor. Having a 12 second car on stock suspension and brakes would suck.

Wow, you're really good at extorting your parents, aren't you?

If you are going to be paying someone to do the work, I assume you will pay someone to do the maintenance as well? In which case, this will be an expensive adventure

5 lug conversion? So do you have an ITR or not? What do you have? Or is this all just a big pipe dream?
If you have 20K to dump into whatever it is you're driving then you would certainly have enough money for a downpayment (at least) on a faster car thats ultimately going to be more reliable and less hassle.
Or.... if you have 20K just buy a damn ITR? B18C5 and 5-lug pre-installed.
Ugh.
