a stock motor untuned will eat itself up. that is a popular misconception. the main difference is how the boost is made. it takes more horses to make power with a supercharger. and a turbo generates underhood heat. there are many pro's and cons. do youe homework. either way will give a substantial kick in the pants. personally i dont like the jackson though. but thats my oppinion. i have been turbo fed since 96 when i had my t type. bless her heart. i miss her. just read up on it and you will be ok.
