Has anyone heard of this problem? Since we bought the car, about a year ago, my 95 Accod V6 tachometer would go from whatever reading to zero then back up again. This fluttering would happen as I went down the highway and didn?t seem to have any other problem (except the gas gage acted screwy but I think this is another problem). Lately when this fluttering happens I feel a hesitation in the motor. Could this be something to do with the distributor? Anyone hear of any callbacks? Thanks

 

Probably a bad coil. There's a resister in the v6 coils that craps out.
Do you have a CEL?

 

i agree it's a bad ign. coil, i've seen that problem before. contact your local honda dealer. there is an emmisions warranty extension on that model you may qualify for, it includes a cap & rotor, plugs wires and a free oil change.sorry, no coil though.

If the CEL is on with a code p0725 it will be covered under the emmision extension warranty. (If it has less than 150,000 miles on it.)
