tranny mount for prelude, might be accord tranny
anyone recognize this bolt pattern for any type of accord? this tranny is attached to an h22a1 jdm prelude vtec. i cant find the right tranny mount and bracket to fit this tranny. ive tried a 92-96 prelude, 88-91 prelude, and a 96 honda accord tranny bracket, but none of them fit.
dude please get rid of those leaves i cant stand em in my car hee,hee good luck with your swap man i cant wait till i get mine.
lol! the damn car has been sitting for 3 months because of some parts and difficulties. but the tranny mount is the last thing, then the wiring and its finally done!!!!

damn, one other question! does the tranny mount bolt onto the side of the chassis, or onto the bracket itself? the prelude doesnt have a spot for a mount to bolt to the side of the chassis because the normal mount and bracket just bolt onto each other. it looks almost as if the accord bolts onto the side of the chassis though, but maybe the dots in the picture are the bolt holes. (im looking at the picture on http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com of a 1992 accord tranny mount)
on the chasis there is a bracket. The tranny mount goes onto those 3 bolts on the tranny, and this mount has a hole through it. A bolt goes through the front end of the chasis bracket, through the tranny mount, and threads through the other side of the chasis bracket.
4g= 90-93
4g= 90-93
ok, lets see if i have this right just to make sure. the bracket goes on top of the tranny. then, the tranny mount goes on top of the bracket?
thats not the right part for a 90-93 accord though. that same picture you have there is what goes into a 92-96 prelude, and it does not work. the bolts do not line up. the part on http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com for a 92 accord looks like it will fit. im trying to figure out if the accord bracket and mount work like the picture you have there, or if the mount goes into the chassis like most accords.
trust me it works. What CAR are you putting this transmission (which has never been clarified either, but i am assuming a h22 tranny. Not that it matters because they all bolt up the same way) into? Was this car a stick or automatic?
The mount pictured will work with both automatic and stick accords. I had my tranny just hanging there not attached to the mount because i thought i had to get something welded on. BUT when i did a clutch install, i was reinstalling everything and that mount fit perfect! My car was an automatic but i swapped it to 5 speed.
Since this mount is now bolted up in my car, The h22 sits slightly more towards the driver's side, and the crank pulley BARELY clears the chasis. I thought i was going to have to take the engine out and bang that part in a little, but there is no way the engine is going to move resulting in that crank pulley hitting down there. The pulley clears by no more than 2-3 mm, and i have had no problems at all.

actually, that is my major problem. i dont know what kind of tranny it is. it is in a 94 prelude. im going to try it and see if it works with the accord mount, since ive tried all those other mounts. its a manual tranny. i tried 3 different mounts and the 92 accord mount looks like it will fit perfectly.
it doesn't matter what tranny it is, they all have the same case. If you post up the 4 character alpha-numeric code like somebody previously said we could tell you.
Yes, the 90-93 mount is what you need, thats what is circled above.

Hey guys... I appreciate the info that I am reading. I am having the same dilemma humtake is. My bolt pattern on my h22 5 speed trans looks just like his. I have some numbers though off my casing that may help you help me..it reads H2A5-6008738.
I would post a picture for you guys that I took but I honestly don't know how to on this site, am I too knew of a member or what? Anyways, I have an h22a4 motor from a 98 prelude I believe and trying to swap this into a 1993 civic 4dr dx that originally had a stock 1.5L single cam and an auto trans. My friend told me that I have a USDM trans and not a JDM trans, thats why my HCP mount kit, which looks like the hasport and the placeracing is not fitting on the trans. My HCP trans mount almost makes an L shape where the 2 outside bolts are completely in line with each other, but this obviously not working when I have the same bolt configuration humtake has above. How do I fix this?

post in the EG or hybrid forum. SEARCh first though so you dont get harassed.
I don't know how to fix your problem. All I can suggest it that i have heard of guys having to remove those 3 bolts from the tranny case and tap the other holes and use those instead.
USDM vs JDM tranny makes no difference!!!
