Was just curious ..I saw a video of a full-tune Spoon CTR making power past 10kRPM. Anybody here revving past 10krpm and making power?
My buddy revs to 10k in his GSR but nothing past. He makes some power up until that point but its not peak or anything. Just a little more room to play around.

he doesn't do it on a daily basis, and I don't know if he's making power at 11k

That motor's been gone for a while. What the next one will do is anybody's guess.

who really cares how high you rev...the equation always holds true....the higher the car is pushed the less amount of time the engine will last. what cams make power all the way up to 10k...most jun and toda setups i have seen on 2.0L stop at about 9.5k

Wait till you see how fast those JUN IIIs and JUn Valvesprings eat your retainers.

From a practical standpoint, I would argue that it's not saying much when an engine can only exceed 10K rpm for a few moments. There is no reliability or robustness implied in that. Now I would be impressed if someone built an engine that endured 10Krpm for 24 hours straight on the test stand. Then, the user would feel very comfortable about actually using those revs. Otherwise, revving that high would only be an excercise in stress and stupid bravado.
motor cycle engines are doing in excess of 15k. It can be done (well...with the right setup).
as for a Honda engine...there's a reason for gears and the like. I would think the head couldn't flow enough for that high of RPM's.
10k is probably feasible but for reliability's sake...why bother.

Allow me to rephrase (although I thought I was kinda clear in my first post) As I said, Isaw a video of a Spoon CTR rev to like 11,500RPMS on the circuit...granted, it was not a street car...however Iwas wondering if any has gone through the extreme of modding their car to rev that high....safely. Or, is it even possible?

the motors you refer to are rebuilt on a constant basis....every 2-3 races

I dont? really?? that means my tach has been lying to me
I made enough power between 10-11k to warrant using it.
