SEMI-OT: Vouch threads
I see alot of vouch threads on HT. This is more of a general topic rather than cornering anybody.
But, if people vouched for a seller and that seller just takes a poop on the situation. Is everybody in that thread who vouched for that somebody LIABLE if ANYTHING were to go bad, or GOOD?

Migs, its friday man, stop worrying about the details, throw back a few

To answer your question though, nobody will vouch for anyone unless they know that guy personally. At least none of the regulars on the board. If by some off chance the seller does end up flaking out, its on him/her, and not the people that backed him/her up. Chances are though, if a lot of the regulars vouch for someone, they should be deemed trustworthy.

I don't think people vouch threads are used for the purpose of liability. Rather, it's just to give potential buyers some feedback and peace of mind when dealing with a seller for the first time.
