Default Need help please!!!!!!

ok I am at work and do not have access to my helms manual.......I just got back from lunch stopped the car and coolant steam started to pour out.....

open the hood up one of my heater hoses has sprung a leak...well I am replacing that and topping off the coolant to get home, but here is the question do any of you think that this was the result of old hoses or that maybe my thermostat could be faulty? By the way I wasn't flooring it or anything just driving normal and I didn't notice the temp gauge being too hot or anything?

actually now that you mention it I have noticed that the main coolant hoses swelled when I blipped the throttle last summer, when the car was warmed up

this weekend I will be replacing all the coolant hoses and thermostat just to be safe
