All the local village idiots care about is whether the new Evo 8 and STi will come with blow-off valves stock and how fast they will go.

Will any fall into the hands of enthusiasts? It's doubtful (at least around here).

that works out to 45,000 CAD plus 15 % tax.... 51,750....

Is that car worth 52,000 dollars?

Considering that's about $10 American, sure.

J/K, couldn't resist.

$31,500 is not bad at all for an STi. It's high on my short list of possible replacements if anything ever happens to my R.

I don't know about CAD$52,000, but it's a bargain at US$32,000. Granted, there will be markup like there's no tomorrow.

I am sure a few lucky people will be able to pick it up for $30k and tear up the street/track.

Ditto. Especially if the STi is accepted under the "VPP" plan.

Sold. I love that car... If it test drives as good as I hope it does, it's going to be hard to keep the car. I wanted a WRX really bad, but rumors of the STi a long time ago kept me away from the WRX and made me get an R instead... The time has finally come!

Did anyone ever find a final features list? Is it going to have all the neat gadgets the non-US STi's have had? (i.e. fancy differential and ****)

Yeah. It's definately got all the good stuff. I got a brochure at the auto show.

Wonder what 24 or 36 month lease rates would be like on that beast. :X

There a few things keeping me from even considering an STi today.
-higher cost of tires/wheels, brake pads
-I'd have to take out a loan for the STi
-haven't driven 1 yet

That's one great thing about the R. 15" wheels/tires are a lot cheaper than 17".

I think the STi looks much better than the regular "teardrop" WRX's......These high powered rally cars, like the EVO VIII, are rather tempting with their prices......

Yep... thats alot of money.. considering I payed a little over 19k for my ITR with 26k miles. I think I would wait for one that was driven off the lot for a huge break in price.

Does anyone know if these are going to be limited production numbered cars like our ITR's, or are they going to be like the current WRX? (The piece of **** Subaru dealer by me kept saying how rares WRX's are going to be, and that they never know when they're going to stop getting them, etc in a way to justify their amazing price gouging. At Gerald Subaru on Ogden Ave. you can't find one car on their lot without $300 pin stripes )

all turbocharged cars have blowoff valves n00b

Given the price of the car, the history/heritage chances are that more enthusiasts will buy them than not.

I would say that more stunnas will be buying the evo's than the sti's especially with the new fast and the furious movie coming up with the evo 'starring' in it. (Which is a ******* ingenious marketing plan by Mitsubishi in my opinion!!)

Yep, you are correct. One of the Subaru new car managers came up to me on the prices during lunch time the other day. Lately, I have been really thinking about selling my hatch for a Evo or the new STi. Especially if I can get it $500 over dealer cost.

io burn: Dont worry, it will be coming with all the goodies.

-3 limited-slip differentials (thats 1 more than the Evo)
---Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCDD)
---mechanical limited-slip in the rear
---Subaru's Suretrac viscous limited-slip in the front

Add on the turbo AWD, 300hp/300tq, and for $31,545 you have quite a machine.
