did i do something wrong? [uneven drop]
i installed H&R sport springs in my car last night and the driver side is noticebly lower than the passenger side. is there any way to fix this? what could i have done wrong in installation for this to happen?
Check where the spring meets the car, there is a part there (forget what it is called) that is sometimes installed upside down.

can anyone elaborate more on this?

I'm not familiar with H&R springs, but they might have different spring rates and drop heights in the front than in the back. Perhaps, you installed the front springs all on the driver side and the rear springs on the passanger side. That could explain why one side of the car is lower than the other.
my friend dropped his accord wit h'&r's and his driver side is higher..the guy told him that cause driver's weight will compensate for the difference..same goes for RHD cars.... the right side is higher..well dats what he was told

If it's a inch or less give it some time to settle, my Eibachs took a month to settle before the rear was level. If it's more than an inch than something is definitely wrong.

its natural for springs and shocks to settle and break in. My new suspension dropped about .75 inch 3 month later.
however, it should not be uneven from the get go. I'd bring it back to the shop and have it looked at. Improper installation can lead to larger problems down the road.
cheers

the thing is. the driver side is lower than the passenger side. the passenger side is slightly higher and i feel is the right drop, the driver side is really close to being tucked. maybe i did install something wrong so i have to check it. the only diffuclty im having is those "this dot must face this direction with this hatch facing front/back etc. etc. can someone give me tips or directions on which way the dots must be or how the pieces must line up in a certain manner?
how about alignment, mine is a little off after the install, what could i have done to make this happen?
thanks

i dont know about that but the h&r are 1.7" front 1.5" back with spring rates of 276 all around. the springs also has F or R ont he spring sexlaining which springs go where.

alignment will be needed.....you should always get it aligned after you lower a car because you just threw off all the factory suspension geometry. your camber probably isnt that bad but toe will kill your tires faster anyways. let your spring settle for a week and get it aligned.
i can try aligning the toe myself but i was just wonder if its normal to need an alignment after a spring install. im not too worried about camber just the alignment where my steering wheel is affected.
Welcome to the world of ******* H&R.
Your springs are FINE. The front is supposedly like 1.75F / 1.5 R or some ****. But it's supposed to have a more aggressive drop up front.
If you think that is bad???!!! Wait till it settles.
I have the H&R sports and after they settled, I tunk 1/2 inch on the front and there is no space on the rear.
I'll never buy H&R again.

IIRC each spring has a specific location...in other words there are 4 different springs.
The part that 'could be upside down' is the rubber piece called the bumpstop. I doubt that's the problem.
You're starting to see the results of aftermarket stuff...sometimes it just isn't good quality. Talk directly to H&R.

I had the same problem with my Integ. I always assumed it was caused by me not cutting the passenger side bump stops. It's either that or my fat ***.
If you find out the direct cause I'd be very interested to know the results.
Good luck

H&R Specifcally states: YOU DO NOT NEED to cut the OEM bumpstops unless you own the following cars......
Honda - Acura isn't one of them.

By lowering your car the point or angle at which the steering tie rod connects to the knuckle is effectively changed. On our integra when we lower the wheels toe out. So yes it is normal to need to align your car after a spring install, in fact should be done after performing any suspension work.
I'd give it a good month to settle, my Eibach's didn't even out until about 1 month later.
