Default ES motor mount inserts shakin up the R.

I've had the ES insets in for about four months now, and am pleased with the slightly improved throttle response, and the reduction of wheel hop. I can't say that they have really improved traction (based on my 1/4 ET), but there IS less wheel hop. The negative to this is that there are numerous place in my dash and door that rattle and drive me insane. I perfer driving around with the windows down and the radio on, but in this TX heat the A/C is going to be used some time. I was considering removing the inserts in the rear mount in hope of stopping some of the rattling. Has anyone done this, or removed them all together? This mount was the hardest to install, so I'd hate to remove it if the rattling will stay. Thanks.

Do you have the insert installed on all four corners? or just the front and back mounts?

I would seek out that squeak if I were you...

I don't have the rear mount in and the vibration isn't that noticeable. You may want to find the source of the squeek and fix it.

I had an annoying squeek by the dash vent on the drivers side (up on top of the dash) even when I didn't have the inserts.

Good luck

I've got just the front two inserts in, but not the 3rd one in the rear. It still shakes quite a bit. Personally, I don't think that removing just the rear insert is going to solve your rattling problems.

Maybe you can take out the front two and leave the rear inserts in.

Everything that cam in the kit is in... That is the two front corners, and the one near the fire wall. Fourth?

Where did you all get the insert kits from? I'm thinking about buying them for my car and I was wondering where the best place to order is. How much does the kit run?

The package for all three is only $30.00. You should be able to get it from and performance car shop.

Shaking and such, that sounds odd. I have not had any such problems in my 1997 ITR.
Did you get everything torqued down?

Haven't put them in my R yet... In the blown GSR, I used the front set alone for a while. Viberation wasn't to bad and wheel hop decreased noticably. When I put the rear insert in, idle would "shake the ****" out of the wheel at idle and hop is basically nonexistant. Other than idle, it isn't that bad in my opinion. The charger makes it worse though... added vibreation under acceleration before the ES kit...
