Any experience/input with an H22 motor using an F22 tranny, can it be done?

Default Any experience/input with an H22 motor using an F22 tranny, can it be done?

I recently heard that the F22's transmission can be used with the H22 longblock. I was wondering if this were possible because if it were....the F22's shorter gearing would be good for all-motor. Just wondering, so any input would be appreciated. Thanks

i highly doubt the f22 has shorter gears than an h22 tranny, f22 is for accords hence gas mileage.

f22 tranny bolts to h22, f22 has longer gears than h22. a lot of people like h23 tranny because of final drive. ( a bit longer than the h22's) f22 is good for highway and stuff, but still falls on its face with an h22.

Just to add a little bit more, the 90-93 Accord trannys and the 94+ Accord trannys do fit the H22 block. The only difference is that the 90-93 Accord tranny has a different bolt pattern on the passenger side mount, so the 94+ Accord mount will not bolt up, and the 90-93 Accord mount will be off when you try to use it in a 94+ Accord, and it any Civic bolt-in kit mount will not bolt onto it (since they're designed for 94+ Accord trannys and H22/H23 trannys).

I have HCP h22eg's mounts and I was planning to use f22. So in order to the swap, I will surely need a 94'+ tranny?
