what year integra would be the best to buy
you can get the newest one (and lowest miles) you can afford... any car you get make sure it was well serviced/maintained..
I'm going to be biased and say 1995
... 1994, there might have been some bugs they didn't work out yet or something (though I've not heard of any major problems w/ the 94's).. and 95 is still OBDI...

Though there will more than likely be more miles I will say 95-95, with emphasis on 95. The '95s are the lightest GSRs ever made according to edmunds.com. Plus throw in OBD1 and a factory oil cooler and it is a good deal. Just look for low mileage (if possible) and a good maintenance record.
yes, I am bias, but my statements are still true......to the best of my knowledge.

95 GSR... I was all set to buy one but the guy told me it was sold. So, with no other local obdI GSRs around, I caved and bought a '97 GSR with the same mileage for the same money. Then, he calls me back the next day and says, "the car is yours of you want it!"
It really pissed me off too, cause I ended up with a black car, and the one I wanted was white.
Oh well... I guess it doesn't really matter since my GSR is own3d by TX hail... unfortunately, everything really is bigger and better in TX.
Cliffnotes: buy a 95 GSR!!!

I've got a 96 and it does seem that it is not made as well as some of the other tegs i've been in, but mine has been in two pretty seriose accidents. That probably accounts for some of the rattles here and there.
94-95gsr.
Best year though is the 95, work out all the little twitch and bugs from the 94. The 94 though is a still a good buy.
However, it will be almost impossible to find a 94-95 with low miles, expect at least 90k+ miles.

I would look at getting an LS if you are really going to mod it out. Not because it's a better platform or anything cost for cost sake. Usually GS-R's are 3k more and if you plan on doing alot of engine mods taht 3k could buy you a vtec head, mod it and still have the money left over to rebuld the bottom end. If you are just going to do bolt-ons like me start with the GS-R.
what kind of modifications do you plan on doing ? if your going to completely rebuild the car i would get like a 94-95 RS , they usually sell pretty cheap
Get an ITR. If you can find one, I don't care how much you dump into that GSR. Put the same amount of money in the ITR and it will own any other integra out there.

I'm sure alot of us would love to own an ITR. But owning a GSR gives me enough headaches. I can't imagine what it would be like driving an ITR and having to worry about it being stolen wherever i parked it. Not to mention, insurance for an ITR is substantially more than a GSR.
To stay on topic, i would buy the newest gsr you could find with the lowest miles and best physical condition. Who cares about obd1 and all that crap. If you're gonna mod your car, you will switch to OBD 1 later on anyways. The extra 300 or so you will spend converting your car to obd1 is worth it considering how old a '95 car is.

I have a 99 GS ... its nice, but if I could do it again I'd have gotten a 94 RS. Then I can put motor of choice in it, I dont have to worry about a moonroof, I can shave my moldings, ITR front, and it would look better then my GS for about what I paid for it .... but that's just me
Buy the newest, lowest-mileage, and well-maintained GS-R you can possibly afford.
Personally, I'd get a '99...there are still plenty out there with low mileage and flawless bodies for low prices. Not quite as new as a '01, but you'll still have money left for a few mods.

they are out there just search for them.
