Default Should I buy a 'teg?

My friend has a 98 Integra GSR shell. White with full steel JDM front end conversion with HID's. CF hood and Spoon CF lip. He has the Wings West fiberglass wing, which is kkinda ugly, but it's his car for now. Full Katzkin leather interior, and other misc. interior things like Shift **** and ITR steering wheel. The motor is a built B16 with a Jackson Racing Supercharger with fuel mods the whole bit. Don't know what pulley he is running, but it's damn quick!! He has 17" Tenzo Mean 6's on Ground Control's I believe. He wants $17000 for it. Good buy or not?? It is a beautiful car, but I just want other opinions. I will try to post pics or maybe he is a memeber here so he might have pics.

personally i would not pay 17k for a b16 teg. you can pick up a 97-98 gsr for probalby around 11k now.. and fix it up by urself. y would you want to spend money on that car? It will always make you feel better to kno that u modded ur own car.

You'll gain the appreciation of yourself and from others if you do it yourself. But, if you want one that bad, I've got a 97 GSR for ya

I do but then again I don't want something thats already done. I have a car with everything done to it possible but rims right now, and I am kinda tired of spending money on mods.

I mean yea it sounds awesome...but for that 17k you could get a b18c5 hatch or something. And have money left over. Or, as someone mentioned, you could get like a 97 GSR...I just couldnt justify paying 17k for a b16 teg.

I don't think I'd pay that much for what sounds to be a salvage/pieced back together car.. (since you said shell)... plus I would rather buy something that was stock and well taken care of and do the mods myself so that it has what I want.. dunno I don't really like buying an already modded vehicle.. thats just me though..

The motor grenaded is all I know on the stock GSR motor. Other than that its a non-wrecked vehicle, other than the JDM front end.
