Default Need advice, oh mighty HTer's...

Herro...heres a brief description of my situation: Im a young kid (17) with 2 cars.

My lovely 94' EJ1 (pics will be posted shortly). She has 265,000 miles, and still runs. In fact her only problem is she revs from 1 to 2k rpms (ugh.)

I bought a 97' GSR cuz well I couldnt stand a swap (they want too much money around here (Rhode Island)).

I was thinking, in order to sell my EJ, should I swap in a d16 with lower mileage?

Go down to the nearest junkyard, buy an engine with even HALF the mileage of my car now, and swap it in?

Ive never swapped an engine, I do have a friend with a lift+garage...How hard could this possibly be? Im really tempted to just spend ($500?) dollars and swap...

This way I know I could get more for my car, which is really in impeccable condition (DC Sports cat back and nice mid rise wing + new coating of metallic black).

Well, whats ur advice fellow members? I want to get a good amount for her, shes a real great car and I will forever love her!

its not hard at all. im doing it right now in my 94 ex as well and the only thing u need is a bible. (helms)
yeah, u should probly go to the junkyard and get a motor. just make sure u do a vin check on it first and look at the motor in the car to make sure theyre not trying to *** ya ova. they tried that one on me.

it revs on its own? like fluctuating? pretty sure thats TPS.

as for swapping with a newer d16, its much easier than swapping a different motor. just pull the old one and put in the new one.

everything will be exactly the same (as long as you get the same motor)

or... you can wait like a month, and i'll sell you my modded d16 for $800

Hah thx J.

BTW Your car was kinda my inspiration for my EJ! Glad to see youre finally gettin a swap

Pretty sure I want a stock engine, so much easier to sell bleh. People are so dumb, Im gona use the ol "IT's A VTEC!" sales gimmik

Works alot, they love it! They ooo and ahhh and wonder how fast she goes lol!

As for the revving, yes all the time it doesnt stop. What would the TPS be? And what could I get replaced?

I had her looked at by the Honda dealership...They say it could possible be the cai (which i put my stock one on for) or a o2 Sensor...

Any help?
