I was just curious, my friend wants to sell me a carbon fiber hood. However, the hood as been painted over and i was just curious if the paint could be stripped off and have the carbon fiber show up again with out any flaws.

Im sure it can. If worse came to worse, they would just have to clearcoat the hood again, no biggie.

 

I doubt the hood would ever be the same after it is painted. Besides, I think the time, work, and materials necessary would not be worth it.

 

yes it can. You can sand and reclear carbon fiber.
