N1 Spec 02 Integra TypeR in Japan...
Just bought the "Weekly Autosport" magazine from Japan today and it featured the N1 Spec brand new TypeR of the Team Mugen. Too bad I don't have a scanner or I will scan all the pix and show u guys that hot machine.
It has 17"(as I can see? doesn't look like 16") Mugen MF10 wheels. Full roll cage, bucket seat...car is in white with big "Integra TypeR" words on the hood and both sides of the car. Orange front & rear lip, side skirts and the centre piece of the spoiler...
Watch out Altezzas...here comes our new i-VTEC fighter

Last month, when i was in japan 2 wks for business training, my coworker had to do maintence in Motegi before CART
race. He was told by Honda engineer not to pay attention to infield road circuit activities. So what was happening were
that they had the N1 02 ITR and also setting up the White ITR Prototype. So it was a cat and mouse chase through the
road course and every few laps, Prototype comes in and get parts replace or adjusted. So Hondas goal is try to match
Road version ITR as close to N1 !!

There are a few excpetions of course, but most of us are in no position to upgrade the handling of this car.
I remember reading an article a while back about Best Car thinking that there was going to be a N1 spec Integra available to the public, here's the article.

This is great news, I'm sure Honda went into as much trouble with the curent spec ITR in terms of testing handling, swaping out parts, testing again, etc. What's sad is that people buy this car, and spend a ton of money "upgrading" the suspension, without understanding WHAT they're trying to correct, and why.

Even if the ITR was really developed with performance orientation...it still is a production car. And it will have compromises...
some things could be improved...
