Default OEM Replacement Issues

I've got a 95 Accord EX with the F22b1. It has been a near perfect ride. I recently made a decision to change the engine out with one a little more fresh so it would have less miles and possible run better. I had 194,000 on the old engine and it wasn't burning oil and was getting great gas mileage, however was just taking a little more gas petal to get it to move than I wanted. So...I found a duplicate engine with 67K on it.

I dropped off my car and 3 days later picked it up. All I had to do was just get in and drive off. I noticed a great improvement in daily driving in traffic and all. After 1000 miles of babying it, I wanted to see what it would do on the top end in comparison to the engine I had removed. Sadly enough from a dead stop it was slower taking off when to the floor, and on top end wasn't quite up to par either. It wasn't missing or rattling or anything, just slower.

The guy who did the swap used my old intake, throttle body and everything else, just changing out the engine. Belts, hoses, water pump and all were changed too. So I took it to him and asked him to put a light on it. The timing was where it should have been.

So after spraying the **** out of it I only got a 15.1 @ 91 MPH, although I spun quite a bit out of the box. It was slower than my other engine I believe.

The ONLY thing I noticed lately was where it is acting like it has a vacuum leak. From the old Chevy days, some leaks would cause your idle RPMs to go up and down. When I start my car it does that for about 15 seconds then smooths out, but about 300 RPM higher than I remember it doing on the old engine.

I've got CAI, free flow cat and cat back, no header yet. Everything else except the Zex kit is stock.

I'm planning on having my injectors from the other engine cleaned and put on, and looking at a few other little things. I just would like to know if anyone has any constructive advice on what they'd do to remedy this. Putting in a H22A isn't an option.

Here's a little pic from last night when I wanted to see how it would run:

you should have run a compression test on both motors before you did the swap. Perhaps your older motor was still getting better numbers.
