Idle on a gude cam?
I'm looking at a '91CRX Si w/a rebuilt head w/a gude cam. Seller says the valves need to be readjusted and such. So my question is....has anyone has had any experience w/a gude cam? How is the idle and reliablity? Thanks for any helpful info.
I've only seen one car with a Gude cam. It was in a stock d16a6 in a 91 Civic Si. The idle was pretty lumpy, but it ran really strong (kept up with dual cam cars).
Mine makes the CD player skip at idle, so I removed the CD player
. With polyurethane motor mounts it shakes the interior pretty good. But with IHE and some port work it ran 15.5 with bad rings.
Dru - Who's saving for a rebuild.

I don't know the specs of the cam, but I'm thinking w/good a tune it will idle good. Dont you think? I don't wanna buy it if at every stop my car might die at the idle. Will a valve adjustment and a cam gear do the trick? Thanks for any helpful info!
