Oh wait, did you mean with the clutch? A OE replacement clutch costs around $130. $200-$300 for the labor, and maybe another $50 for the flywheel resurfacing.

Sounds like you got bent over and lubbed up real good.

most of the time its the labor that kills. cant really give a good estimate to you because labor varies from 65-95 dollors an hour. just keep in mind that they have to drop the tranny mount, tranny, remove axle, and reinstall.... i would expect them to average about 5 hours.
make sure that they dont keep your car over night too. they charge for that **** too.

to those who have done it themselves, how difficult was the job? would it be reasonable for someone who has little experience to do with a haynes manual? thanks.

you can do it yourself. its not that hard, it just takes a long time.

pretty basic stuff. unplug all connections to the tranny. place a jack under the tranny. loosen all the tranny bolts. remove tranny mount, then remove all the bolts. slowly lower the jack and the tranny will follow.
thats what you need to do.... but thats the fast discription. i usually do clutches with another friend so that he can help with jacking th car and checking for clearance.
