I wanted to keep my same muffler and re-do the pipe to a straight pipe w/ new headers.. will that sound deep or ghetto?

 

u mean dump it? why keep ur same muffler if ur gonna have straight pipes? im not understanding fully what ur wanting to do.

what kinda car do u have? whats done to ur engine? alot depends on whether u have anything on ur car

 

nothing so far. i just order a greddy and all i have is cai, dc headers.

If that isn't a new title I don't know what is.

As for the exhaust are you running new piping from the cat back to the exhaust, the best thing to do is pick up an ES muffler. that will probably give you the sound you are looking for.

I am sure you do but that sounds like a personal problem. Lol just kidding.
It will work but there are other routes than leaving on the stock muffler. Try getting a mugen twin loop exhaust. But just to let you know no matter what you do if you straight pipe it it won't be anywhere near quiet, trust me I know. Good luck and God Bless!

 

ur gonna want to get a full exhaust system, bc u need the backpressure. i have basically the same exact thing as u but i have a greddy evo on mine and airmass 4-2-1 header on my 94 ex. its pretty deep for just that.

it will sound deep......but a bit rapsy too. Personally after having that, i would rather stick with a low tone exhaust.

sounds like personal problem here....lol

seriously if you want it deep(hehe) then add a resonator to the piping. that why you'll keep it deep and quiet.
