Pre-gapped Spark plugs.
Okay, I've searched, didn't find any useful information. And I don't have a gapping tool on me at the moment. I have NGK platinums, I'm wondering if they are pre-gapped? I bought them for my year/model Accord. Just curious.

Gap Disk. $.49 at your local Auto Zone. Use it.

spark plugs are typically pre-gapped, but I would double check them none-the-less, If for no reason other than to insure that the part in the box matches the box. gap tool is cheap at any autoparts store.

return them and get standard plugs
platinums are very unreliable
platnium is a very inconsistant metal, this information was givin to me buy the owner of acurate automotive in everett, washington
he is an old member of the Honda Race Team, he specilizes in hondas/and what the U.S. calls acura
NGK and the stocker brand are the best you can get, unless running FI then other brands might be better

I already put them in and they work fine.
edit: And I don't see how they wouldn't work. Like NGK is going to make something they charge 5 time more for it and it doesn't work atleast as good as the regular ones. Whatever. And how is platinum "inconsistant?" Where's the research behind this? And I don't care what some guy with those credentials says, most of the people that post on here don't know what they are talking about anyways, and they work in shops and so forth.

Hey, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. He was trying to give you some advice. No reason to go back on im like that.
Also, just to back up that statement, I have also heard that platinums aren't the best for your car. Why pay 5 times the price as you put it for plugs that won't do anything 'better' for your car? Waste of money
Go OEM next time. Just a word of advice.
