Terrible Noise.
Monday of this Week, I let my brother use my Prelude. 110k Miles.
He got home and said that after he got out of class the car was making a weezing noise.
Well I checked it out and the car is making that noise. It sounds like its coming from the Belt or something thats rotating.Whenever I accelerate the car it speeds up.
It appears to only happen when the car is cold. Then it goes away.
Another symptom. Is that the car vibrates more then usual.
MY father said its the Valves. My brother revv'ed the car up to 6000RPMs.
I usually run the car around 5-5500 Everyday on occasions on the freeway.
Well.
What could it be?
Any idea's?
ANyone ever had this happen to them?
Car runs slightly slower then usual.

what year lude? what motor? 6 grand should be nothing for a Si motor or a vtec... so i doubt its the valves.....when's the last time the timing belt was replaced..... and when was the last time the belts were replaced....... do that first...... its cheapest....then the timing belt....maybe slower if the timing belt hopped and threw the timing out.......on the other hand..... you say it goes away when it gets warm....well if the timing is wayyyyy off the damn end..... the valves will tap too....and once they get warm and all happy n stuff they usually shut up.... so check the timing....and the belts.......and see what happens
