your gonna need a lot more than cams and valve springs to make more power. First off, your going to need adjustable cam gears to actually tune the cams to make power. Its not a bolt on power mod. And you need to upgrade intake manifold, throttle body, ect ect to make power with the more aggressive cam. Plus you will need to tune on a dyno to extract the power with some sort of electronic fuel management (VAFC, hondata, ect). If your doing valve springs, get retainers also. Might as well go the full length ya know?

So either way you go, turbo(my suggestion) or all motor, will cost you a lot of money. I suggest you do more research before attempting to drop in a set of cams and magically hope for a tad bit of power.

Hopefully skunk2rnr can shine some input since he is the all motor fanatic unlike me

Get some Crower 403 cams. You can install them on your stock valve train and you'll get some noticable gains. You could go a little bigger and get the 404, but those will cause a somewhat lumpy idle. Later on if you feel like getting really sexy, you can upgrade your springs and retainers and take these cams out to 7,000 or even 7,500 rpms depending on which cam you're using and what fuel mods you want to do to your engine and what program you'll want to use on your ECU.

I've got a 1991 GS with 216,000 miles on it. If youe engine is well tuned and taken care of, you shouldn't worry about modding it. And if you haven't found http://www.g2ic.com yet, check it out. Its all about 1990-1993 Integras.

The LS throttle body and manifold are adequate for most mild-moderate cam setups. The Skunk2 is the only reasonable aftermarket manifold for non-boosted LS setups and with it, you won't start to see gains until GSR rpm levels. Consequently, cams along the line of Crower 404's or Crane stage 4's are necessary to really make it worthwhile. Otherwise, expect nothing other then a drop in low and midrange power.

Anyways, my suggestion. Listen to Crower and swap springs with 403's. Or, run Crane stage 2's on the stock valve train.

And if you plan on swapping cams yourself, make sure you know what your doing. I've seen quite a few screwed up heads lately...
