Question for stolen Canadian R ?owners?
Well I guess you don't really own the cars anymore...(sorry), and not to rub salt in the wounds, but how did the theft of your R affect your insurance rates?
The reason I ask is that I already pay $6000 a year for insurance on my R and with all the crazy theft that's going around, I can't afford for my insurance to go any higher if my R gets pinched.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanx.

Then do everything you can to stop it from getting stolen. Just keep it in a garage with layered security and you wont have to worry about this. Most peoples that get stolen is out of their driveways.

Unfortunately, I have to park mine in the driveway, b/c my room mate's M5 is in one half of the garage and for the summer, my bike (GSX-R) and his bike (R1) occupy the other half of the garage.
I'm thinking of just trading the R in for a WRX...mildly cheaper on insurance b/c of the four doors and I don't have to worry so much about theft.
Thoughts?

With the all street racing bullshit going on in BC, the rates have gone up so god damn much. I haven't thought of selling my car at all if that helps. Here the insurance company thinks the itr is up there with the nsx,911, and other high end vehicles.
Only reasons I would give you to sell your Arrrr would be if you can't afford it, or don't enjoy it. Good luck, eh.
