Canadian Cars!!!!
Hey, I was just wondering how much it cost most Canadians to get there suspension complete, on the car aligned properly. It's looking like it's just going to cost more and more for my car. I found good prices (for being in Canada) for all my stuff. Tanabe springs $169.99, Koni specials, $530, progress f+R camber kit $266, then tax and shipping add $170, so parts total is about $1130 Can. then to install shocks+springs+camber kit+ alignment, another $500. so more than $1600 just to do my suspension properly. That's maddening. I know I'm going to hear a lot of "why don't you install them your self?"s but I lack the tools, and, althoughI'd hate to admit it, doubt that I'd do it properly. I'm 18 years old, have a part time job that makes about $10,000 a year and I have to save up for university next year. It pisses me off so much to know that if I lived in the states It would be costing me half that price to do the same ****. Sorry got off into a rant there, does this seem like a reasonable price to most Canadians?
p.s. where the hell do all the young guys come up with the money to do this stuff to their cars?

i get most of my parts from around here, i dont like to pay for S&H and you always forget about custom (which usually about the same or more than S&H). $500 to install would just be crazy.....most people charge about $150+ to install those....they arent that hard to do, you can do them yourself (please dont go to canadian tire to get your mechanical car stuff done).
most prices for parts varies depending on what you get. they arent that much more than ppl get for in the states. try ebay/HT/clubsi to find some good deals
good luck, and if you want to find where to buy stuff, there are tons of store in TO

So there'snot too many Canadians on this board I guess eh? does the install of springs/struts/camber kit + alignment for around 500 seem excessive to anyone else? or is it just in Kingston that prices are bad?
I wouldn't pay more then 200 for the install, and 80 bucks for the alignment. Hell, I'll do the install for you for 100, and give you directions to a shop that will do alignments/camber adjustments to whatever spec you want, assuming you're up for a 3 hour drive down to hamilton
500 sounds way too much to me...
