HELP ME, my car won't start....
So, i go to start my car and i get absolutely no power whatsoever. I messed around with the battery and everything is tight and it is still completely dead, nothing. What could this be? It ran fine on sunday night, WTF? Help please, anything.
i jumped it, so it will start. I let it run for 5 minutes or so and then i shut it off and tried to start it and for a split second it seemed like it was going to start but it just clicked and nothing happened except this time all the electric crap was working. I tried it a few more times with the same results except it made a clicking noise once or twice. Then, i took the keys out and was staring at it and the fan was still on for some reason and it didn't shut off. I pulled the cables from the battery so it would shut off. What could this be, is the fan being on draining the battery? Even if it is, will it stop my car from starting after letting it run? I am confused and frusterated, any direction will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

if i was you i would jump the car again and drive to autozone. they can test your battery and alternator. it sounds to me like your battery isn't holding a charge. if you don't have an autozone or advance, etc. near you just get a mutimeter/ voltmeter and test your battery and alternator
Okay I would guess that it's your battery. batteries generally should be replaced every 5yrs at most. Try jumping the car again then with the car running disconnect the battery, just the + terminal is sufficient. At that time does the car keep running? Does it die? If it keeps running. Alternator is fine, get a new battery. If it Dies alt is screwed need to get a new one and most likely a battery as well since it will prolly be dead.
I don't know how Honda makes their alternators but in an old MB I had I was able to replace the brushes so I didn't have to spend $400 for a whole new alternator. I think I spent $5 for the new brushes. Might want to look into that.

when you disconnect the negative you need to leave it off for at least a minute to check the alternator i've seen engines run for like five minutes with the neg disconnected and a bad alternator (putting out ten volts instead of 14) but if your alternator isn't putting out **** it will die rigfht away
May just need a new battery. If thats not the case, then you may need a new alternator. Should go to your nearest AutoZone and have them test both the battery and alternator
Do i disconnect the negative or postitive, one person said + and one said -, so which is it?
I think i'm gonna buy a new battery, mine is at least 4 years old, so theres a good chance that could be it.
Thanks for the help.

So it just all of the sudden stopped cranking over???
I would check the point of contact where your ground wire connects to the body of the car.
