hello all, im a returning old member from a long time back, looks like my id was deleted. been awhile since ive been here. anyways i was hoping someone could help me out here.

My gas lift supports for the hatch on my 98 integra are blown. i cant find these parts anywhere! not on the internet or any of the local parts places, its like they dont exist. do a search for integra lift support for a g3 integra and you probably wont find anything. at least not for a 98. the local acura dealer wants to charge me almost 300 dollars to replace them! well thats not happening. i was hoping that someone out here would know an OEM part number for the gas shocks so i can go to my parts store and order them. im going to try and get the part# from the acura dealer, but i am not sure if they will give it to me. if anyone can help me out it would be appreciated. TIA!

 

i'm not sure wat area u live in but if your talkin about the hatch struts.. well yup, the OEM ones will cost u a grip at the dealership.

Is it available else where? YUP! autozone had it for like 35 a piece last time i checked.. sure its not the same facotry one.. but it'll werk jus the same.

No local autozone? Try kragens. or Search in teh classifieds.. cuz i swear i read someones forsale ad this week and they were selling them.

 

yup hatch struts. the shop manual calls them Lift Supports. jeez, autozone, thats like the only place i havnt checked!!!! ill check them out today. no way in hell im giving the dealer my money. all the other places had up to 97, but no 1998. damned annoying. my only other option was to look at junkyards and get them there. ill check kragens too. thanx.

 

no problem buddy.... and if u still can't find them... take out a WTB ad in the classifieds area..
