I know this is a prelude board but this is impressive.....
My mechanic ran his DSM this weekend for the first time.... Realize a couple things... he's on shitty street tires, and its his first time running it. Oh ya and its a daily driver.

Not really that impressive, making those cars fast is a cakewalk (not hating, it's just a fact)......show me a geo metro with the stock displacement motor running those kinds of times, now THAT would be impressive......

ok gimme a break... it runs 11.3 @ 130mph on street tires.... It's street driven... and thats not impressive.? Most DSM's that run those times are race ready...with some pretty high end race manifolds etc. This is street driven and it ran like that on its first run...This things gonna run 10's not doubt... What exactly do u find impressive? A geo metro with what....?

I've been active in the DSM scene for forever, and I'm not impressed

He can run those times on street tires because it's AWD, that's all....what was his 60ft on that run? A friend here locally was doing 12.28's on bald *** tires because his 60ft's were still 1.8x's, street driven, stock intake and exhaust manifold, 20G and the basic fast DSM formula....that same day I was doing 1.96 60ft's on slicks...it's all in the drivetrain!

i couldnt agree with you more, my friend with simple upgrades is running 13s in his gst, and is aiming for 11s on his gsx.

im not to impressed with turbo cars running 13's. its not too respectable when you hit times like that with forced induction. now, all motor... or that geo. that would be something else.

because you don't have to fix your car every other month or so! dsm's although are fun to drive and fast...they're dam UNRELIABLE

I'm impressed, even though it's an Impulse turbo motor and not the 3-banger I was lookin for Really good considering FWD with a quaife on slicks the same size as my old ones! Props for his creativity in building something different.....
There is a guy here that LOVES the Impulse AWD turbos....those motors are great, combined with AWD it's a sweet ride...he has like 3 of them
