Anybody have any thoughts on the viper paging alarm system?

Anybody have it?

I was thinking about uninstalling my old Alarm and having this one installed, then giving my gf my old one. I have heard about people talking about range issues like when your in a mall or stuff like that, which I dont mind. I just want something to notify me when I am at home, because I park my car outside.

I got it, it's nice, i was jacked before with my crimestopper. I have everything extra and a club and autolocker and gps tracking system and a low jack, the car is almost unstealable.

the only way is a tow truck, and if my alarm goes off i get pagged, it has a nice range. get my gun and godbye theifts

I have the Viper 800 ESP alarm system with the pager system. I loved it, and had peace of mind of when I park my car outside for the night and have the pager by my ear just incase, also when I went to mall's and all that...

until recently I was jacked while in the movie theater, the pager was on and I was no more than 200 feet away from my car.

I know the pager works because I tested it while I was right next to mycar, but what's the point of it if you can't leave your car out of view with a pager system and it not work?

Not a bad system, but that really got to me. Paying over $1000 in security **** with a pager to notify me of when the alarm was working just fine, have had no issues, then I get my car broken into when I'm parked pretty damn close.

So the pager never notified you? Also does the pager have a vibrate function? because I know when I am asleep I will not hear the pager tone at all, unless its on vibrate.

Whats up with the GPS system that you have? Any more info on that?

 

Sorry I don't like people to know about my ****, even close friends, i have spend so much money to make the car real hard to steal, u have herd of chips that home in on someones spot, i put it on a spot under metel in the car, your going to have to weld it off, and it has a control switch, i got it out of some gaget mag, a few months back, just need to replace the switch batterys, the thing has like 6 watchs batterys and is said, to be good for 4 years.

thats all the info i like to share about it, i don't want people to know how i installed it or what not. I have all the extras for the alarm and I always autolock and club up my car, it's 2 dam hot for theifts to want it, and it still has the d16 in it.

 

lol, yeah man i understand I am not trying to learn about your security system or anything.. I just wanted to know more info about the gps product.. I would be interested in purchasing something like that..

Would you happen to have any links to it?

Dude, get over yourself...it's just a Civic. And still with the stock motor too. LOL! It's not like you're protecting a freakin Ferrari or something. And besides, that's what INSURANCE is for.

BTW, does your GPS tracking system work in real time? Do you pay a subscription fee for them to track it for you? Or how does it work?

Thats what I was curious about.. Because I seen this site for the gps tracking service and you have to pay monthly. I wanted to know how exactly that gps tracking device worked.

Not to clown on you but...I take it you have never had a car stolen
before right? What peeps fail to realize it that your time is a valuable
commidity that you will never get back,much less compensated
for by the insurance company. Lets be real.....**** happens at all the
wrong times when you least expect it..then its scramble to
try to return your life back to normal as possible. Above that most,if
not all policies pay out after 30-35 days of non recovery. I
put it this way, unless your involved in some scam **** and its at the bottom
of a quarry lake ( its a local thing ),on a cargo container out to sea or Juan and
Jesus have decieded to open up a taxi service back home...your **** is comming back.....end of story.
