Default Ride this weekend

So how many people are going for a good ride this weekend? And I don't mean to the store!

I am talking about getting your best riding buddies together and heading out for a couple of hours of destinationless riding. The type of riding in which it doesn't matter where you went only how you got there.

This is the ONLY type of riding I do. Only I usually go solo. I would look like a space alien if not on my bike with all the gear I wear so I rarely go inside a store while riding.

Pretty much rode the whole weekend.
This afternoon we were supposed to meet with others for a ride to ? but they never showed up. Me and 2 friends were showed up. Hpppmhhh!! hehe : p so we just rode up the local mountain (Cypress Mtn. for you locals) and then around downtown to see what was going on there.

Today was Canada Day so there were a lot of people out and about...nice to see everyone and be seen too.

All in all, still a fun day...maybe it's better that we didn't head out with 10 other riders.

What is Canada day all about? Is it like Independence Day for the US?

I got a bud who is up in Canada for 2 weeks on a bike tour. He said it was supposed to be raining the entire time. Unfortunately he left his R6 and took up his KLR650, I suppose that the KLR is more comfortable for long distance riding.

I thought that I was going to go for a good solo ride on Saturday but I ended up only going for a 100 mile ride that was mostly highway.

Ohh, well. Maybe I will take Wednesday to ride till the tires melt.

I was thinking of doing some riding this weekend. Like maybe Hwy 49 near Placerville.

I am up for that. I have some excellent footage of highway 193 and Salmon Falls from 2 weeks ago.

I usually go up early on Sat to avoid traffic.

Have you ridden 193? I think it is called Dog Bar road at that point. It breaks off 49 in a horse shoe shape and reconnects just before Placerville.

IM me if you are interested in meeting up.

Yes I have. At some point it starts this really steep and windy decent. There was a bunch of sand in the road.
