Default H&R Sports + Koni Yellows

Well got them installed today and Iam not to happy with them. In the back there is no gap from the wheel to the fender but in the front there is 3 fingers worth of gap. So overall Iam slightly dissapointed. Oh and no I didnt install them wrong

Edit: Now that I think about it how do you adjust the setting on the koni yellows? I didnt even think about it at first.

something is very wrong. Either you accidentally switched the springs or you need to adjust the height on the shocks (although I dont think they give enough travel as to a 3 finger gap)..

All I know is its not supposed to be like that.. did you re install the bumpstops?

Are you sure the front springs are in front and rear springs are in the rear? H&R sports are notorious for lowering more in front. Also, did you change the position of your c-clips? did you buy the koni shocks used by any chance?

Yes Iam positive the springs were put in correctly. F for front and R for rear Now the c clip thing I have no idea and the koni shocks were new. Now what Iam thinking is that I need to change the perch setting for higher in the rear lower in the front on the konis yet I have no idea how to do this. If anyone has the info or can send me in the right direction for it please let me know.

BTW thanks for the help guys.

Installed my Koni Yellows and H&R Sports 2 weeks ago:

Haven't had any problems, but there is about 1.5 finger gap front and back (not that acurate, but you get the idea)

Something MUST be wrong with yours.

Good luck!

Did you put the front spring perches on upside down? I would bet so, since I have almost no gap in front w/ my H&R sports, and the perch is on the top-most setting.

Remove spring/shock from vehicle. Compress or remove the spring if there is any load on the spring perch. Push the perch up out of the way, and pry the circlip out of the notch w/ a screwdriver. Slide it to the position you want and let it snap into place, then put it all back together.

I just used plyers to pull mine up or down on the rings to adjust the spring perch.

Upside down? Are they supposed to sit like a "bowl"?

the rear ones sit like a bowl, front ones sit opposite, meaning the bowl part is supposed to face down on the front. Also i think you might need to cut your bump stops a little

i had the same problem as you. The rear cup is supposed to face up... the smaller side facing down and the bigger side facing up. In the front its the opposite, the small side faces up while the big side faces down. I had to take apart my front shock assembly and fix the problem. Big difference

I asked the question because my front ones sit like a bowl, as are the rears (you know, "the smaller side facing down and the bigger side facing up"). I don't have any problem with the drop but I just want to make sure that they are done right. Honestly, we couldn't understand the instructions by Koni. LoL!

I have an Accord, does it matter?

Thanks for any advice!
