Anyone PICS of CHROME Volk TE-37's? Thinking of Dipping Mine!
Hey everyone,
First off, I know there's gonna be some comments about chrome wheels being ricey, as bad as putting on ALTEZZAS, etc, but to each his own, so please don't flood this thread w/replies of the aforementioned nature.
Having said that, anyone have PICS of chrome TE-37's? I don't know what's come over me, but I'm actually considering having my VOLK LE-37T wheels chromed. I've always had a little BLING in me!
The only car I've seen w/chrome TE's is the SIGNAL AUTO Street EK Civic (purple one). Sorry, I lost the pics.
Well, if anyone has PICS of chrome TE's, please post them.
Thanks in advance!

there was a dude on here that has a black civic with some or they look really close i remmeber seeing these on volks site i say go for it !!
Do it!! I think it would be balsy as hell.
But maybe it's worth buying a fake pair, then dipping them, so you don't have to ruin a nice pair of Volks...

if youre going to do it sell the volks and buy some fakes. no point in having a super light wheel if youre going to make them heavy. for the price you sell the volks for you could buy some fakes and have them plated.
does it even add that much weight to have them dipped??? I would't think it would be that much more weight than powdercoating.
Ooops... I just posted about this. I am trying to find more information/pics about them as well... now I will probably get yelled at for not seeing this thread first.
The cars you are talking about were not chrome dipped. They were polished, and they came from volk that way. I think they may have only been available in the JDM. I would take them to a good polisher and have them stripped, and polished instead of having them chrome dipped.

Chrome does not add an extreme ammount of weight. Granted, it is heavier than paint...But it's not going to throw 5 lbs. on each wheel.
I say do it. I was seconds away from polishing my Buddy Club P1's, but my girlfriend talked me out of it. I wanted something completely original, and something that I like. I wish I would have done it.

yes it adds weight, they have the plate it with nickel 1st, then the chrome so it will stick. they might have to plate it with another layer of somethin else before the chrome, not sure.
their not heavy at all. their acutally lighter than my stock si wheels. The wheel alone are about 15lb

you are taking light weight wheels made for performance and making them heavy??? Once again

No sir... you are the retard. TE-37's were available polished from Volk. Polishing does not add weight at all. In fact, if anything it removes weight... even if someone were to chrome dip some TE-37's, I am willing to bet anything, that he or she would not notice any difference in performance, on any track.

NICE wheels, superiOro1!! That really does remind me of the SIGNAL AUTO's chrome TE's. I totally forgot that I'd have to get new VOLK/RAYS stickers. No offense, but it looks like you didn't get the original ones? I know the OG's are hard to get/expensive though.
I think if I do have some wheels chromed, I'll get some less expensive ones first and leave my LE-37's gunmetal/polished. Besides the fact that more than a few members and my buddies have "threatened" bodily injury to me if I ruined my VOLKS, it'd be good to be able to switch it up now and then w/a different set of wheels. I'll probably try to find a set of 5zigen Buddy Clubs or another relatively inexpensive but nice wheel. Now, I just need to find some $$$!
